Karen Esterque is a Senior Manager of Human Resources at Recidiviz. Throughout her career, Karen has championed equitable opportunities for people with conviction histories, including hiring over 300 justice-impacted individuals in a previous role. She is a writer, speaker, and advocate for prison reform, with a focus on fair chance employment and access to post-secondary education. Her work spans policy advocacy, program administration, and coalition building. Karen is studying Political Science at the University of Maryland. In her free time, she can be found with family and friends and cuddling her two poorly behaved, but very loveable dogs.
