Dan Kurtz is a Senior Software Engineer at Recidiviz. Previously, he was a technical lead at Beyond 12, creating tools to help first-generation students succeed in college. In past lives, he made mobile games and applied cognitive linguistics research to progressive politics. He is an avid stage actor, karaoke enthusiast, and toddler dad. Dan holds a BA in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley, and a Masters in Information Studies from the University of Toronto.
