Samantha is a Senior Data Analyst at Recidiviz. Previously, she was a research associate at UCSF where she collected and analyzed activity data to help predict the progression of hip and knee osteoarthritis. In the past, she has explored the intersection of data analysis and science communication through working in multiple marine science research labs as well as teaching high school math and science. In her free time, she can be found mountain biking, reading science fiction, and learning to kite surf. Samantha holds a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Duke University.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
