Aarya Suryavanshi is a Data Analyst at Recidiviz. Prior to joining, she worked at the RAND Corporation as a Data Scientist, where she researched education, health, drug, and criminal justice policy. Her work in drug policy led to a better understanding of the Washington state cannabis market, as well as changes in state-level recommendations for tracking platforms and social equity licensing. In her free time, Aarya likes to read too many books at once, go on nature walks to stare at bugs, and listen to all the hits of the 80s. She holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and an M.S. in Computational Social Science from Stanford University.
