Carole Touma is a Software Engineer at Recidiviz. Prior to joining Recidiviz, Carole was a Software Engineer at Google, where she worked on Cloud Internet of Things and Waze. While there, she completed a Google.org Fellowship with the Vera Institute of Justice, which introduced her to the criminal justice reform space and ultimately led her to Recidiviz a year later. Carole received her B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University, with certificates in Finance and Technology & Society. In her spare time, you can find Carole playing the ukulele or rereading Harry Potter.
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
