Ben worked in product and marketing for 11 years at Google, most recently leading the "next billion users" team. He also spent some time as Director of Product at Schmidt Futures before taking last year off to hang out with his 14 month old niece, get reacquainted with the US after five years in Sydney, and decompress. Outside of work, Ben likes to swim competitively and in the ocean, hike, adventure to new parts of the world, and cook pizzas. He has a BA in Human Biology from Stanford and a Masters in Business from Monash University in Australia, where he was a Fulbright scholar.
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
