Prior to joining Recidiviz, Gloria was a Software Engineer at Twitter where she built infrastructure to deliver push, sms, and email notifications to users, and was a founding engineer of Twitter’s first consumer subscription product, Twitter Blue. She has also spent time at NASA doing environmental policy and remote sensing research, in partnership with the City of Phoenix and Arizona State University’s Urban Climate Research Center, on equitable expansion of cooling infrastructure and the urban heat island effect in Phoenix. In her free time, she can be found doing yoga, relaxing in the nearest hot tub or sauna, and finding any excuse to be outside. Gloria holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
A diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is essential to our mission. People come to Recidiviz to contribute to an urgent cause, and to work alongside incredible coworkers who care as much as they do. To ensure that we’re building intentional products and amplifying the work of others in the reform ecosystem, we are committed to fostering a diverse team that reflects the people we serve.
We combine the efficiency of a tech company with the heart of a non-profit. Recidiviz began as a volunteer project at Google and has since grown into one of the brightest, kindest teams that civic tech has to offer. Our north star: safely and fairly shrinking the criminal justice system.
